India being one of the fastest growing economy of the world and with fast evolving business and regulatory environment, the food processing sector has immense potential to offer for growth. While offering aplenty of prospects, India has a bright potential to emerge as an outsourcing hub in forthcoming years. Even the global food processing industry looks at India as a recharged economy, with foreign investors beginning to take notice of India as the land of opportunities.


With the objective of bringing the food business community together and collaborate, FICCI Food Processing Committee has been organizing its flagship event FOODWORLD INDIA (FWI) which is being supported by Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI) since 2005. Over the decades, FOODWORLD INDIA has established itself as a thought leadership forum and a mood reflector of food sector. It has received encouraging support from stakeholder including all major food sector corporate, government officials, visionaries, international experts and researchers. Our key national partners in past editions: Ministry of Food Processing Industries, APEDA, State Governments of Punjab, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Kerala & International partners: Federal Republic of Germany, State of Illinois-USA & France.


As we are aware, India comes across as a thriving under-penetrated consumer driven market for exponential growth with increasing interest of investors. Internet penetration and its increasing importance are driving most of the businesses.


In this ecosystem, Digitalization has been revolutionizing the food industries by offering direct engagement with the consumers and opening new revenue streams. The massive power of digitalization provides us with the great opportunities and great risks which contribute in changing business models daily.
