India is today, one of the fastest growing economies of the world. The business and regulatory environment is evolving and moving towards constant improvement. Policy makers have implemented a number of reforms to create an enabling environment for rapid growth, across all segments of the food value chain.

The potential food processing sector has to offer is immense and the prospects aplenty. The global food processing industry looks at India as a recharged economy; foreign investors too have begun to sit up and take notice of India, the land of opportunities and outsourcing hub in becoming.

With France as country partner, the 7th edition of FOODWORLD INDIA is being organized on 23-24th September, 2013 at The Lalit, Mumbai.

With the objective of bringing the global food business community together and collaborate, FICCI has been organizing FOODWORLD INDIA (FWI) since 2005. FWI-the global convention for food business and industry is organized concurrently with Annapoorna exhibition every year in Mumbai.

Since its inception, it has received encouraging support from stakeholders including all major food sector corporate, government officials, visionaries, international experts and researchers. The event in the past has witnessed the presence of Minister of Food Processing Industry from India and Germany, Chief Minister of States, Secretary-Food Processing Industry, Chairman-Food Safety and Standards Authority of India and other distinguished personalities from across the globe.
